Data Governance ManagerLocation:

The Data Governance Manager will oversee the development and implementation of data governance policies and frameworks. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data technologies and a passion for fostering a culture of data-driven excellence. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in data governance, with exposure to cloud and modern data technologies.Key Responsibilities:Data Governance Framework:

Design and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with business objectives and regulatory requirements.Policy Development:

Develop, maintain, and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity across the organization.Data Stewardship:

Establish data stewardship roles and responsibilities to promote accountability for data management practices across departments.Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, compliance, legal, and business units to ensure alignment and adherence to data governance standards.Data Quality Management:

Monitor and report on data quality metrics, and lead initiatives to improve data quality and accessibility.Cloud Technologies:

Leverage cloud data technologies (e.g., GCP) to enhance data governance practices and tools.Training and Awareness:

Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote data governance awareness and best practices across the organization.Regulatory Compliance:

Stay current on data protection regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the organization adheres to relevant laws and standards.Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data governance processes, tools, and methodologies.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.10+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or related fields.Strong understanding of data governance principles, practices, and frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK).Proven experience with data quality tools and methodologies.Exposure to cloud data technologies GCP and modern data architectures (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP)) are a plus.
