Job DescriptionOur client, a world leader in the semiconductor industry, is looking for a
Desktop Support Engineer
to be based in
San Diego, CA .
Job Duration:
Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension)
Responsibilities:•Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for
network infrastructure, internal desktop systems, software and hardware .•Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers, and network issues in a heterogenous environment.•Creates and implements maintenance procedures for shared workstation software and hardware (operating system, anti-virus, software update, etc)•Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.•Recommends
hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades .•May participate in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects.
Required Skills:•Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and experience troubleshooting hardware and software.•Experience working in a
help desk or technical support role .•Ability to diagnose and resolve a wide variety of technical issues.
