Hourly Wage Range:

$20.62- $27.82

*This role is exclusively on-site, requiring daily commutes to the office. Therefore, candidates must reside in the Detroit/Metro-Detroit area before employment*

Our mission is to return the city's blighted and vacant properties to productive use. We utilize a variety of Sales programs to make homeownership and land purchases accessible to Detroiters. Plus, we take our commitment to revitalization one step further with our Compliance and Nuisance Abatement programs, requiring renovation and occupancy to improve neighborhoods, eliminate blight, and combat real estate speculation. The Detroit Land Bank Authority works directly with individual buyers, as well as Community Partner organizations and developers for projects big and small.

The Data Analyst will work closely with the internal teams to manage geocoded survey data from mobile applications, integrate survey data into Salesforce and other platforms, troubleshoot errors with survey and platform integration efforts, and maintain a database of survey results to assist with visualizations. In addition, employees in this role will assist with running quality checks on survey data and triaging properties into appropriate pipelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCommunicate with in-house surveyors and vendors to determine surveying routes and timelinesManage a database of privately-owned propertiesWork closely with internal teams to transfer data between platformsAssign, track and report on movement of properties through non-DLBA pipelinesMaintain relationships with other departments and city partners and develop communication processesIdentify and define data requirementsProvide technical oversight for integrating new technology or new initiatives into data standards and structuresEvaluate the design, selection, implementation and support of database changesEnsure quality data collection techniques are established for those inputting data and monitor data entry proceduresIdentify and implement processes, data, and reporting improvementsTroubleshoot data-related problems/discrepancies on an on-going basis and modify accordinglyDevelop and maintain strong relationships with the teamExtract, load, model, and reconcile large amounts of data across multiple system platforms and sourcesReview data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to managementBuild systems and dashboards for reporting on survey data and other information as assignedUse a variety of data-visualization techniques to share survey results with external stakeholdersEnsure data integrity by performing data quality audits and analysisConduct routine quality checks of a high volume of inspections results and triage properties to appropriate partners and pipelinesOccasionally assist with surveying efforts outside of the officeComply with all state, federal, and company guidelines, rules and regulationsPerform other related duties as directed by the Neighborhood Survey Manager and Assistant ManagerQUALIFICATIONS

Strong organizational, analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skillsStrong system and data analysis backgroundKnowledge of Salesforce database, strongly preferredKnowledge of ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, strongly preferredAbility to communicate clearlyProven track record of working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environmentProficiency with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), Adobe version 10 or greaterBachelor's Degree in Urban Studies, Geography, Statistics, Urban Planning or a related fieldAt least three (3) years' experience designing, developing and generating reports from a relational database application. Database design, deployment and management experience is highly desirable.Solid understanding of the principles of database management and business process workflowAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish responsibilities, goals and projectsAbility to organize work to meet deadlines and work independentlyAbility to troubleshoot hardware and software problems is highly desirable.Excellent customer service to both internal and external customersExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical usersBENEFITS & PERKS
