Sr. Programmer Analyst-RPG, IBMi

The RPG SR. Developer will be responsible for demonstrating best practices in developing and implementing efficient technical solutions, while adhering to and promoting all established departmental standards and development methodologies. This role requires continuous development and utilization of expert-level technical expertise in IBMi-based programming languages.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting thorough and documented analysis, design, development, and testing for new and modified programming projects.
Delivering assignments within predefined timeframes.
Innovatively and creatively solving complex problems.
Leading project teams in a dynamic environment where requirements may continually evolve.
Thinking critically and analytically.
Managing multiple tasks and prioritizing to meet organizational commitments.

Required Skills & Experience
BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline or a combination of education and experience
7+ years of professional experience with RPG(ILE/FREE) using Procedures, Service Programs, and Functions, within the IBMi platform.
5+ years of experience with Embedded and Interactive SQL. Experience in creating and utilizing views in development practices.
5+ years of experience in advanced DB2 database design, utilizing techniques such as referential integrity, and normalization.
2+ years of experience in Rational Development tools for IBMi
Experience with full-life cycle implementations of IBMi solutions
Change management experience and familiarity with an IBMi change management tool such as Turnover.
Experience in exposing and consuming web services, JSON, REST APIs on IBMi is a plus
Experience with EDI transactions (extract/load/send/receive/translation/mapping) and related tools is a plus
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
EDI experience Plus
