Overview:
SMS is seeking a Windows OS Tier1 System Administration to support the AF 26 NOS at Gunter Annex. The Tier 1 System Administrator will provide technical expertise, technical support, guidance and recommendations to servers, workstations, printers, and account management. The administrator must be able to provide outstanding customer service, system configuration, fault isolation, patching, STIGs, status reporting, ticket management. Submit your resume today! Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities : Manages all the AFINC systems for the program to include updates, life cycle management, DISA STIGS, IAVMs, software patches. Manages the functionality and efficiency of all enterprise servers on multiple operating systems. Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems. Set up administrator and service accounts. Maintain system documentation. Provided IT support to resolve and document problems, using appropriate ticketing systems. Escalate problems to the appropriate organization or process, when required. Utilize the priority matrix, as an order to responding to service requests (e.g., trouble tickets). Support capabilities allowing assumption of control of an end user device for problem analysis and resolution. Review, maintain, and correct any configurations that do not comply with Air Force and organizational policies. Develop and implement testing strategies and document results. Provide advice and training to end-users. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Participate in special projects as required. Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security; Operating System (OS) installation; and other local area system administration related functions. Serve as a single source for Standard Desktop Configuration (SDC) images. Control usage and install SDC on all appropriate workstations. Provide a single point of contact for resolution of incidents, end user assistance for standard IT questions and service requests. The System Administrator Tier I responsibilities include technical support assistance, service request management, remote desktop management, self-help tools, Hardware (HW) and Software (SW) direct service desk support. Must be able to work shift work (swing or midnight) as needed to meet mission requirements.
Qualifications: Security Clearance: DoD Active Secret Required 8570/8140 Certifications: 8570 IAT II:
CompTIA Security+ CE And must have (1) of the following CE/OS:
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate
Education: HS or GED (required) Bachelors or greater (preferred) Experience: Mid - 3 - 5 years of experience and able to independently manage programs. Experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment a plus.
