CBTS has partnered with a large/global organization to identify a Virtualization Engineer in the Columbus, OH area. This role will require a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days/wk onsite at the client headquarters. VMware, vRA, vROps, HyperVGood to have skills:
Windows, Azure, OCIRoles & Responsibilities:Understanding of complex VMware environments, which includes VMware vSphere, vCenter Server, NSX, VRA, VRops and VMware ESXi hosts.Implement and maintain VMware Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and VMware High Availability (HA) configurations using Site Recovery Manager(SRM) to maximize uptime and resource efficiency.Manage VMware vSAN (Virtual SAN) for scalable and high-performance storage solutions.Deploy and configure VMware vSphere, including setting up ESXi hosts, creating and managing virtual machines, configuring vSAN and configuring virtual networks including vSphere Distributed switch(vds).Years of Experience:5 years in VMWare administrationExposure to VMWare Tanzu based containerizationExposure to management of virtualization and micro-segmentation, multi-tenancy ensuring secure and efficient network management.Exposure to other virtualization environments like Hyper-V and NutanixExposure to storage technologies like SCSI, iSCSI, EMC, VxRail management, Network technologies including pass through configurationExposure to VMware tools such as VMware vRealize Operations Manager (vROps) to analyze performance metrics and optimize resource allocation.Identify opportunities for closed loop automationManaging VMWare lifecycle management including VMware Tools and VM Hardware upgrades to ensure compatibility and enhance virtual machine performance.Exposure to backup of VMWare using tools like Cohesity and NetBackupExposure to managing large VMWare environments spread globally with high performance requirementsGood knowledge of ITIL practice
