Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure solutions, primarily leveraging Microsoft Azure. This role will play a pivotal part in driving the organization's cloud migration strategy, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments.

Responsibilities:Azure Cloud Experience:

Demonstrate an understanding of Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, patching, firewalls, networks, storage, security groups, and identity and access management.Cloud Migration:

Assist in the planning and execution of cloud migrations to Azure, including assessing existing infrastructure and developing migration strategies.Azure Infrastructure Management:

Manage Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.Azure Networking:

Design and configure Azure networking components, such as virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, and load balancers.Containerization:

Familiarize yourself with Docker containers and Kubernetes for deploying and managing applications in a containerized environment.Hybrid Cloud Knowledge:

Understand the concepts of hybrid cloud environments and how to integrate on-premises infrastructure with Azure.On-Premises Infrastructure:

Provide technical support for Colo data center and networking infrastructure, including servers, firewall, storage, and network devices.Helpdesk and Office Support:

Assist the helpdesk team in resolving IT-related issues and provide support for Office 365, Mimecast, and Active Directory.IT Security:

Adhere to IT security best practices and assist in ensuring compliance with security standards.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management.Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.Knowledge of Colo data center technologies (e.g., servers, storage, firewall, networking).Knowledge of helpdesk support and office applications (e.g., Office 365, Mimecast, Active Directory).Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
