ASG Sr. Solutions Architect - Infrastructure at SHI in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Summary The ASG Sr. Solutions Architect - Infrastructure will provide customer-facing services to our customers to help them define and oversee infrastructure initiatives. This roleis responsible for helping strategize, consult, and implement various solutions that support SHI customer's move to modern datacenter and networking solutions. The ASG Sr. Solutions Architect - Infrastructure will design and implement enterprise infrastructure and platforms, analyzing system requirements and ensuring that systems are securely integrated with current applications and also configure and upgrade services within our customers' and partners environments. Responsibilities Include, but not limited to:? ? + Performs design and implementation work that may include architecture analysis and design, system migration and systems engineering. + Responsible for the design and implementation of: + Software defined datacenter + Networking + Storage + Disaster recovery + Desktop virtualization + Security + Develops technical roadmaps for future infrastructure implementations + Develops business case analysis on potential projects + Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops, overseeing the work of others and being accountable for the outcome of the project + Collaborate with sales team in identifying and closing opportunities through customer discovery and scoping meetings and presentations + Configure and upgrade services within our customers' and partners environments + Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to other architects and consultants within the team + Participate in pre-sales conversations, design, planning of services engagements + Stay up to date and on top of top industry trends and offerings + Provide technical leadership and mentorship in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity to support successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of offerings + Demonstrate long term thinking as it relates to our Infrastructure practice and customer engagements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience + Minimum 8-10 years of technical experience with increasing responsibility + Minimum 7 years' experience working with infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) + Thorough understanding of: virtualization technologies & software defined datacenter + Expert level certifications in one or more infrastructure technology platforms (ex: VCP,VCDX, EMCIE) Required Skills + Ability to develop new systems or work to update or improve current systems + Ability to design, build and implement something from scratch and integrate changes into existing software + Ability to define, design, build, and maintain systems and solutions leveraging systems and infrastructure + Strong troubleshooting skills + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Excellent organizational and project management skills + Strong analytical and research skills + Ability to guide other consultants within the team + Strong project time management and communication skills + Consultative approach to deploying enterprise architecture + Passion for technology Certifications Required + Expert level certifications in one or more infrastructure technology platforms (ex: VCP,VCDX, EMCIE) Unique Requirements + Travel to client sites, up to 20% Additional Information + The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $220,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
