In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans to ensure the resilience of our organization in the face of unforeseen disruptions and disasters Your expertise will help safeguard our operations, data, and reputation DR/BC Plan Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and maintain comprehensive DR and BC plans, ensuring they are up-to-date, effective, and aligned with industry best practices Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to the organization's operations, IT systems, and data, and incorporate findings into DR/BC plans Testing and Training: Plan, coordinate, and conduct regular DR/BC exercises and simulations to evaluate the effectiveness of recovery strategies Provide training to staff on DR/BC procedures and their roles during an incident Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of DR/BC plans, processes, and procedures, ensuring clarity and accessibility for relevant stakeholders Incident Response: Serve as a point of contact during DR/BC incidents, leading response efforts to minimize downtime and data loss Analyze incidents to identify areas for improvement Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers that support DR/BC initiatives, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met Compliance: Stay updated on relevant industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST) and ensure DR/BC plans align with compliance requirements Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance DR/BC plans based on lessons learned from incidents and exercises Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on the status of DR/BC initiatives, including risk assessments, test results, and progress toward recovery objectives
