POSITION PURPOSE:
The IT Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and directly managing technology projects. Ensures cybersecurity is built into projects to protect the organization's critical infrastructure and assets, reduce risk, and meet organizational goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Actively manage multiple cybersecurity projects.Coordinate within the department, project team, business unit managers, and the project management office to achieve product-oriented outcomes.Create, revise, and execute project documentation: project management plans, communication plans, test plans, risk mitigation plans, and configuration management plans.Tracks and communicates project status and demonstrates project value to the organization.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
PhD in a technical field with limited experience or Masters degree in a technical field and 2 to 5 years of related experienceBachelor's degree in a technical field and 5 to 10 years of related experienceAssociate degree in a technical field and 10 to 15 years of related experienceSkills and Abilities:
Knowledge of operational planning processesKnowledge of cybersecurity and information technology (IT) security principles, practices, and requirementsKnowledge of requirements analysis principles and practicesKnowledge of information technology (IT) architecture models and frameworksKnowledge of system life cycle management principles and practicesKnowledge of technology procurement principles and practicesKnowledge of cloud computing principles and practicesKnowledge of the acquisition life cycle models and frameworksSkill in performing capabilities and requirements analysisSkill in performing administrative planning activitiesSkill in communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholdersSkill in performing needs analysisSkill in team building and leading integrated product teamsAbility to identify critical technology procurement requirementsAbility to conduct auditsAbility to identify and document supply chain risks for critical system elementsAbility to define and manage day to day performance of operating-level agreements (OLAs) and service-level agreements (SLAs) within the authorized limits of a Project ManagerSpecial Requirements:
Direct correlation with KSA's above and must have experience delivering cloud-enabling capabilities5-10 years of project management or similar experience (experience managing to deliverables and milestones) of overseeing technology projectsKnowledge of Project Management methodologiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Project, Azure Dev Ops, and Agile methodologiesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Project Management Professional (PMP) and Agile certifications preferredQ clearance is required; however, an active DOD Top Secret that can become a Q through reciprocity is acceptablePHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to sit for part of the day. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and drive.The employee may frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
