Our P&C Insurance Client is seeking a highly skilled Guidewire BillingCenter Developer. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Guidewire products, especially BillingCenter, with a deep understanding of insurance billing operations and financial processes. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency in Gosu, Java, and web technologies, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry's challenges and opportunities.
Work Mode:
hybrid (3 days/Week) at Minneaplois, MN
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement robust technical solutions within the Guidewire BillingCenter, utilizing Gosu, Java, and Guidewire Studio for configuration and integration purposes.Develop and maintain custom scripts, batch processes, and integrations using Gosu, Java, JavaScript, and web services (SOAP, REST) to enhance billing operations and connectivity with external systems.Lead the technical aspects of BillingCenter upgrades, ensuring compatibility and leveraging new features to improve functionality and user experience.Apply advanced knowledge of SQL and relational database design to optimize data retrieval and performance within the BillingCenter environment.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements, translating business needs into high-quality software solutions.Implement and adhere to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) methodologies using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in the BillingCenter application.Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in Guidewire technologies, advocating for and implementing improvements to existing systems and processes.Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter development, including customizations, configurations, and integrations.Proficient in Gosu programming, Java, JavaScript, and web services (SOAP, REST).Strong understanding of Guidewire BillingCenter data models, plugins, and event-driven architecture.Experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS) is a plus.Solid experience with database technologies (SQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and understanding of database design and normalization.Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a track record of working in fast-paced development environments.Exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Desirable Skills:
Guidewire certifications (BillingCenter, Integration, or Configuration).Experience in other Guidewire modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter) is highly advantageous.Knowledge of insurance industry standards and practices, especially in billing and finance.
