Senior IT Portfolio Management at Humana in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first This position will provide the unique opportunity to help IT drive optimization of infrastructure technology spend. We are looking for a candidate that has a broad IT technology experience and is familiar with budgeting and expenses, to help leaders make more informed spending decisions. Knowledge of core finance principles, and basic understanding of the corporate accounting process is a plus, as well as prior experience driving the maturation of Cost Optimization within a large organization. The Senior IT Portfolio Management Professional organizes and prioritizes projects and programs based on IT Strategy, strategic roadmap, available and prioritized budgets, changes schedules and ensures that the appropriate financial and organizational support is being allocated in support of those goals. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Responsibilities: + Provide stakeholders with the tools to develop and measure capacity and cost related metrics, KPIs and savings. + Closely partner with technology teams to understand their processes and impacts on costs, including demand drivers from outside of the teams' responsibilities + Evaluate and investigate data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions. + Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and drive accountability as appropriate. + Help teams understand their spend compared to their business goals and budget. + Support and facilitate the Product/Service supported Cost model and influence TechStrat alignment. + Support the annual budget and monthly forecast processes in managing consumption, show-back, and savings in collaboration with accounting, finance, and technical areas. + Support technology owners in determining how much their technology should cost. Use your skills to make an impact Required Qualifications + You must be authorized to work in the US without Humana sponsorship as Humana does not provide work visa sponsorship for this role. + Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Accounting or business-related field or 5+ years equivalent practical experience in the IT finance space + 4+ years of experience producing metrics, measurements and trend reports + 4+ years of working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation + Knowledge of the core Finance principles and basic understanding of the corporate accounting process (forecast, invoicing, show back, accruals, OpEx, CapEx, COTD etc.) + Analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills + Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail. + Technology background to translate and communicate effectively IT deliver presentations into executive and business views/understanding . + Experience producing financial analysis, metrics, measurements and trend reports. + This role needs to be able to communicate effectively, build/maintain relationship with cross functional areas along with an understanding of department's work and department finances. + Strong Technology Business Management (TBM) skills to connect storytelling to technology investment to business value + Strong ability to predict risks, identify cross team coordination gaps, and conflict resolution skills + Detail orientated to evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts. + Ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations with a host of diverse stakeholders. + Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications + Strong Azure DevOps (ADO) reporting experience (NTH PowerBI or advanced excel skills) + PMP certification + Apptio + Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes. + Understanding of data center technology and IT infrastructure. + Program or Project Management experience in Agile framework. + Experience in problem analysis and process Additional Information Why Humana Humana offers a variety of benefits to promote the best health and well-being of our employees and their families.
