The intern will work in and provide support to a department within Continental in an office-based role. The intern will work on routine and complex activities involving data management and storage, report generation, mapping and analytics.

The Resource Development department serves the greater organization by guiding strategic development and growth of our assets through reservoir engineering analysis, advanced data analytics, economic evaluations, project planning, and operations support. After a brief introduction to the sub-departments and their responsibilities, the intern will be tasked with designing and proposing a method that improves an existing process and presenting this improvement's anticipated impact to CLR.

Duties and Responsibilities

In addition to a summer project, there will be opportunities to do some of the following, based on projects assignment:

Accumulate and effectively organize data from multiple sources for engineering analysisQC accuracy of data, take appropriate action on any changes, and communicate required corrections to the necessary partiesCreate and maintain custom databases, spreadsheets, maps, Spotfire projects of technical data as required by assigned departmentLoading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting dataDeveloping more accurate and reliable data analyses and reporting methodologiesOther duties as assigned.Skills and Competencies

Strong work ethic with a positive and proactive attitudeOutstanding verbal, written and presentation skills; Intern will be presenting to company leadershipProficient computer and data analysis skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointBasic Proficiency or the willingness to learn coding languages including SQL, R, Python, HTML and analytics software including MS Access, Spotfire, Power BI, Geographix and ArcMap/ArcPro.Works well in a fast-paced environmentExcellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational skillsSelf starter, who can execute individual tasks and works well on a teamFlexible and able to handle multiple tasks at one timeAbility to work and deliver on short timelinesProven team playerRequired Qualifications

Current enrollment in an accredited four (4) year College or UniversityWorking towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, related field from an accredited College or UniversityEligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduationAn acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 3.0 GPAPhysical Requirements

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
