Certification Details Required certifications: PALS/BLS Job Details PEDIATRIC CARDIOVASCULAR INTENSIVE CARE UNIT at METHODIST CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL Emergency Room with 24 beds Variable staff number based on census and acuity Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 Equipped with BAXTER MEDFUSION PUMPS, HOSPIRA INFUSION PUMPS Uses MEDITECH EMR system Job Requirements Must have PCVICU/PICU RN experience Must be able to manage ICU assignment with intubated/ventilated patients Managing care of a PICU patient with congenital heart defects is preferred Experience managing care of a PICU patient on multiple vasoactive infusions is an advantage Unit Specific Information Floating Areas: NICU, Pediatric Surgical Unit, Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit, Pedi Hem/Onc Unit Dress Code: Scrub Color/Attire – Navy (No T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, or Hoodies allowed) Unit Guidelines/Policies will be provided with PCVICU/PICU Handbook Additional Details Best personality fit: Must be positive, helpful, and flexible
