The Senior Networking Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced network infrastructure solutions. This role requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco hardware and technologies. This role will serve as a subject matter expert, senior resource and mentor to the team. This role will take point on identifying opportunities for hardware refreshes and upgrades, and redesigns. This role will also participate in the design and deployment of SD-WAN solutions throughout our network. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. This role will work from our Muscatine, IA office on at least a hybrid (3-days a week schedule) and be available to travel as needed to other locations.

What You Will Do:

Design, configure, and deploy complex network solutions using Cisco hardware and technologies.Perform network assessments, capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure optimal network performance.Actively monitor network performance to identity opportunities and proactively develop a plan for hardware refreshes and upgrades.Troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure network reliability.Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.Architect, design, and deploy SD-WAN solutions to ensure optimal network performance, reliability, and scalability across multiple sites.Utilize SD-WAN technology to enhance network traffic flow, improve bandwidth utilization, and reduce latency for mission-critical applications.Configure and manage SD-WAN devices and controllers, including policy configuration, routing, and security settings.Monitor network performance and utilize network management tools such as SolarWinds to identify and resolve potential issues.Document network designs, configurations, and procedures for future reference and compliance purposes.Stay current with emerging Cisco technologies and industry best practices to provide recommendations for network improvements.Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical guidance and support.What You Have:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco hardware and technologies.Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are required.Extensive experience with Cisco networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Experience with HPE Aruba Edge Connect (fka Silver Peak).Experience with SolarWinds and Cisco DNA Center.Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.Proven experience in network design, implementation, and troubleshooting in complex environments.What Youre Good At:

Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).Knowledge of network security best practices and experience with security-focused technologies.Familiarity with virtualization and cloud networking solutions.Experience with network monitoring and management tools.We look forward to hearing from you!
