Business Analyst IV Salem, Oregon (On-site work required three days a week) Project Till- 09/09/2024Note: Individuals in this position have demonstrated experience in the standard concepts, practices, and deliverables related to Business Analysis in support of software development projects. Understands how to gather and document requirements. Has a working knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Some familiarity with the use of standard market Testing tools. The Information Technology Business Analyst (BA) plays a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and implementing technology solutions to fulfill the organization's business needs. Collaborating closely with project managers, system analysts, and development teams, the BA gathers, documents, and validates technical business requirements, processes, and workflows. Additionally, the BA leads the development of non-functional technical specifications, acts as a subject matter expert during development, and ensures that the implemented solutions meet business requirements. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Solicit, understand, and document customer's technical business requirements, processes, and workflows. Conduct interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to elicit and clarify requirements. Develop written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows using tools such as use cases, user stories, flowcharts, and diagrams. Solution Design and Validation: Lead the development and validation of non-functional technical specifications based on gathered requirements. Collaborate with project managers and development teams to determine technical and operational feasibility of proposed solutions. Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives, architectural standards, and regulatory requirements. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, system analysts, and production support staff throughout the project management lifecycle. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, presenting findings, recommendations, and project updates clearly and concisely. Testing and Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the development team to test functionality of implemented solutions and ensure they meet business needs and technical specifications. Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies found during testing, collaborating with stakeholders and technical teams for corrective actions. Best Practices and Continuous Improvement: Recommend and institute business system analysis best practices, tools, and methodologies to standardize deliverables and procedures. Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in business analysis and project management. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of business analysis processes. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in information technology projects, with a focus on technical systems analysis and requirements solicitation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with project management methodologies and lifecycle processes, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and practices. Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
