Position Summary:

The role is responsible for planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all local and wide area network connections, network devices, associated software, and communication links. This person will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide redundancy, quality of service, and capacity planning solutions. The LBWL data centers will be a primary focus.

Administrator 3:

Starting Salary Range: $91,746 - $111,930

Essential Functions:

Able to complete most level 3 tickets related to network administration, including basic route/switch and ACI configuration without assistance.Able to independently complete all level 2 support tickets related to network administration without assistance.Able to handle all level 3 tickets under the guidance of more senior network administrators or vendor technical support.Able to participate in the on-call rotation with as needed assistance from system administrators or more senior network administrators.Competently execute nearly all on-call tasks with limited assistance from more senior system administrators.Technically competent to be assigned as the primary resource for LBWL in at least one core technology at LBWL and able to demonstrate technical leadership in planning upgrades and patching.Competent with VTP, ISL, 802.10, STP, RSTP, vPC, BGP, EIGRP.Competent with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching.Actively monitors the health of network resources including conducting capacity planning for future budget years.Able to self-manage small discrete technical projects including limited requirements to delegate tasks to others or obtain assistance to others without management involvement.Independently author standards document for use within the department.Create complete drafts of documents for submission to Business Relationship Managers for use across the enterprise.Competent with the majority of the core technologies in use at LBWL.Self-prioritize most work with limited guidance from IT management.Executes a training plan as defined in annual performance evaluation process.Demonstrates a clear customer service/IT is a support organization mentality in all interactions.Expected to comply with all BWL policies and Work rules.Predictable and reliable attendance.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Job Specifications:

Required:

CCNA required or equivalent experience. (Note that for equivalent experience, the candidate must provide a letter outlining work experience covering each point tested in the certification.)Bachelor's Degree in Information Management, Computer Science or similar.5 to 7 years of experience as a Network Administrator.Certification in one or more technologies: Cisco routing and switching, MPLS and other Internet/Telephony technologies, Cisco Unified Call Manager, Cisco ACI, ISE and/or Radius Firepower, VOIP telephony, specifically Cisco Call Manager, VPN and Tunnel setup and management, DNS, DHCP, other standard networking technologies, Cloud networking including AWS and Azure, Competent with both CLI and GUI configuration of Cisco 9k,7k,6k,5k,3k,2k devicesKnowledge designing and implementing VLANs.Mastery of all level 1 abilities and skills.Ability to work effectively with vendor technical support such as TAC.Ability to work in a team environment.Able to produce clear, professional written and verbal communication that clearly and concisely communicates technical content in a manner appropriate for the intended audience.Ability to retrieve data from computerized, typed, and written sources.Ability to effectively communicate orally or in writing project recommendations with internal teams and external agencies.Strong written and oral communication skills.Administrator 4: Starting Salary Range: $101,876 - $125,358
