Our client, a renowned Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) Agency Services, is seeking an experienced Software Test Analyst to support the Department of Transportation (DOT).
As a Software Test Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the developed solution meets business requirements, is free of defects, and achieves the desired quality. This role requires a hands-on approach, including writing test cases, working with product owners for approval, sharing test cases with the development team, documenting in the Azure DevOps tool, testing interface applications, and coordinating test results with the development and QA teams. Agile testing experience is a must for this position.
Key Responsibilities:Participate in requirement meetings and functional design document review meetings to understand the requirements and author the test cases for the Project.Work closely with business analyst and business to clarify requirements.Prepare the project test plan and test closure according to standard templates and adhere to DTMB and DOT policies, standards, and guidelines.Learn new tools identified for use on a Project.Prepare Test Scenarios (project based).Prepare test data and ensure the QA environment is ready for test case execution, including interfaces.Prepare and execute test cases and maintain user story traceability against the user stories/requirements.Responsible for defect management including identification of QAT defects and remediation tracking by maintaining the traceability to user story.Prepare and ensure Sprint Sign off after each sprint or as required and obtain sign off from product owners.Work with UX/UI Designer of the Project to assist them adding defect(s) or raise defects in their absence.Work closely with QA Specialist on complex Projects and on unique deliverables for the Project(s).Adhere to all QA processes and procedures.Ensure all QA responsible SEM documents identified for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes.Required Skills:
Experience performing quality assurance and software testing with a thorough understanding of testing concepts and methods in manual and automation. Required: 7 YearsTesting experience in the implementation of Agile and Waterfall development projects. Required: 5 YearsExperience writing and documenting test cases in DevOps or other Agile tools. Required: 5 YearsExperience testing Java-based applications and Oracle database. Required: 7 yearsExperience developing Agile testing strategies and test plans for multiple related projects. Required: 7 yearsExperience with reviewing, understanding, and translating Agile User Stories to prepare test cases/scripts. Required: 5 yearsExperience working independently and in a team environment. Required: 7 yearsExperience writing test scripts with automation tools. Nice to have: 5 yearsExperience coordinating the Agile automated testing with the QA and development teams. Nice to have: 5 yearsExperience in coding with Java to write test automation scripts with Selenium. Nice to have: 2 years
