Position: Level One Computer Technician

Role and ResponsibilitiesTechnology Support and Customer Service:Provide high-quality technology support to all end-users with a focus on kindness, courtesy, and professionalism.Quickly resolve technical issues to minimize disruptions for staff and students.
Technology Equipment Management:Set up, maintain, and upgrade district technology equipment, including computers, interactive technology, and other devices.Deploy standard computer images across district devices to ensure consistency.Assist with the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of district computer networks, including both hardware and software.
Help Desk and Technical Assistance:Monitor, prioritize, and address Help Desk requests from staff and students promptly.Maintain detailed records of all tasks performed, tracking issues and their resolutions.
Inventory and Asset Management:Install, configure, inventory, and troubleshoot technology assets, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and functioning properly.Assist with district systems, such as VOIP phone systems and security cameras, providing end-user support.
Educational Technology Support:Provide training and ongoing technical support to district staff to help them effectively use technology in their roles.
Meeting and Event Support:Set up and break down technology equipment for district meetings and events, ensuring all systems are operational.
Logistics and Equipment Management:Manage the movement and setup of technology equipment between buildings, particularly during special events or testing.Support summer projects and computer maintenance efforts.
Additional Duties:Perform any other duties as assigned by the Technology Director, Superintendent, or their designee to ensure the smooth operation of district technology services.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:A high school diploma or GED is required (an Associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred).
Technical Skills:Proficiency with Windows, Chrome, Mac, and iOS devices.Experience with interactive technologies (e.g., Promethean, Smart, Clever).Strong cabling skills, including the ability to run, terminate, and troubleshoot network and computer workstation cabling.
Communication and Physical Abilities:Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and students.Physical ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Transportation:Must have reliable transportation
Working Schedule and Rate of Pay:
8 hours per day, 52 week per year position
$24.00 per hour
