Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an IT Scrum Master for a contract position in Bloomington, MNThe opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: Needs a Scrum Master to support our pharmacy technological productsThe
Scrum Master
is responsible for coaching teams on self-management and working cross-functionally, while also demonstrating the value of completing high-value increments of workThis position helps remove impediments to teams' progress and guides them on collaborating positively and productively within and across teams.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Facilitates the activities of an Agile team through encouraging and supporting the team to self-manage their work iterations using a "leader who serves management styleEnsures self-organized team's continuous improvement through monitoring and coachingAssists the Product Owner in maintaining a product strategy and roadmap through story mapping and other Agile activitiesWorks with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is prioritized and refined to the appropriate levelEnsures all Scrum team events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timeboxRemoves impediments for the team and escalates issues as appropriateActively participates and contributes to the company's internal ScrumMaster Community of PracticeDevelops team members through coaching and by fostering a positive work environmentProactively identifies risks and dependencies and escalates with Product Owner and leadership as necessary to mitigate risks and eliminate dependencies through incremental organization improvementCollaboratively partners with various levels throughout the organization to achieve goals and remove impedimentsIs responsible for radiating metrics such as the team's capacity, velocity, and health on an ongoing basisConsistently advocates for agile/iterative development practices within the organization
Qualifications:
4-year degree8+ years of information technology or product team experience1+ years of experience in the ScrumMaster roleKnowledge of various Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, Etc
ScrumMaster CertificationUnderstanding of the fundamentals of Agile and iterative developmentExpert facilitator and collaboratorHigh energy, effective leader with the attitude of empowerment and ability to lead their team to self-organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skills across audiences with varying degrees of technical acumenExcellent problem-solving skillsProven collaboration skillsContinual learnerKnowledge of Agile targeted Tools
Preferred:
Knowledge or experience in working with pharmacy claims and PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager) applications
Experience supporting data analytic teams
Strong knowledge of IT processes
ScrumMaster Certification through the Scrum AllianceAdvanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), work commenced toward this certification, or strong desire to begin working towards this certification
