Contract - 6+ MonthsJob Summary:The NOC Technician is responsible for providing network support by monitoring network infrastructure, servers, and systems to ensure continuous availability and performance. This role involves identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving network and system issues, escalating incidents when necessary, and maintaining accurate documentation of all activities. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.Key Responsibilities:Network Monitoring:

Monitor network systems, servers, and applications using monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and uptime.Issue Resolution:

Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, including network outages, connectivity issues, hardware failures, and performance degradation.Incident Management:

Respond to network alerts and escalate incidents to appropriate teams if necessary, ensuring timely resolution.Documentation:

Maintain detailed logs of all network events, incidents, changes, and resolutions to ensure accurate records and handover between shifts.System Maintenance:

Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups to ensure network stability and reliability.Collaboration:

Work closely with network engineers, support teams, and other departments to resolve technical issues and optimize network performance.Customer Support:

Provide technical support to internal or external customers, including remote troubleshooting and issue resolution.Security Management:

Monitor security protocols, firewall configurations, and data protection measures to prevent unauthorized access and maintain data integrity.Continuous Improvement:

Suggest process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of network operations.Requirements:Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a NOC or network support role, with a strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, etc.).Technical Skills:

Proficiency with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG), basic knowledge of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls), and familiarity with ITIL processes.Certifications:

CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications preferred.Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.Availability:

Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as part of a 24/7 support environment.
