Local ContractWe are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join our Operating Room team. This position offers flexibility with either a 4x10 or 5x8 schedule. On-call duties include two days a week from 5pm to 7am the next day and one weekend every three weeks from 7am to 7pm. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the RNFA will assist the surgeon in a lead role throughout operative procedures. Candidates must be a graduate of an approved School of Nursing with an active RN license in Massachusetts.ACLS and CNOR certifications are required. Completion of an RN First Assisting course per AORN's Core Curriculum is mandatory. A minimum of five years of peri-operative nursing experience, with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating, is essential. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or the American Red Cross is also required. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and effective surgical outcomes.
