Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Float/Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Days and Nights) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current ICU experience required License: RN License in the applicable state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Must-Have: - High proficiency in ventilator care, cardiac monitoring, IV management of pressors, anti-arrhythmic agents, and sedation- Willingness to float to the Emergency Department (ED) or Medical-Surgical (MS) units as helping hands during low census- Ability to handle up to three ICU patients- Previous travel experience preferred- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Job Description: - Provide professional nursing care to ICU patients using all components of the nursing process, including assessment, development, planning, implementation, and evaluation.- Maintain telemonitoring of patients on the Medical-Surgical floor.- Manage a patient ratio of 1 to up to 3, with an average census of 2-4.- Work in a 5-bed ICU staffed by two registered nurses.- Be available to work during either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.- Work every other weekend and holidays, as needed.- Prepare and submit a comprehensive application profile, including work history and skills checklist.- Follow non-billable orientation guidelines and comply with policy on requested time off.
