Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Chemo/Infusion RN - Oncology Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 8H Days, 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, 4 days a week Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 1 year in chemotherapy infusion experience, IV starts, central line dressing changes, and access License: Valid RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Biotherapy Certification (Not ONCC or ONS) Must-Have: - Open to first-time travelers- Punctuality and reliability Job Description: - Provide care in the Chemo/Infusion Department featuring 10 chemo chairs and 6 infusion/iron chairs- Handle an average of 30-35 iron infusions daily and 12-19 chemo infusions daily- Participate in a nurse to patient ratio averaging 6 patients per RN throughout the day- Conduct IV starts, access central lines, and change central line dressings- Administer various infusions including chemotherapy, blood products, iron, hydration, biologics, and more- Perform therapeutic phlebotomy and manage lab draws in collaboration with patient care techs and lab staff- Utilize AllScripts as the electronic medical record system- Adhere to a self-scheduling system for shifts, with no weekend or holiday requirements- Wear royal blue scrubs- Undergo general facility orientation, with ongoing education in collaboration with the educator, preceptors, and clinical pharmacists Note: The position requires a Charge Nurse who is actively involved in patient assignments and includes assistance from Patient Care Technicians for patient intake, vital signs, and phlebotomy tasks.
