I'm partnered with the CFO of a billion-dollar manufacturing company near Hammond, Indiana. One of their business units is a leading supplier in their niche and are actively searching to identify an Accounting Supervisor to join their growing team. In this newly created role, you will be a key driver in improving efficiency and profitability of the business.

In this newly created role, you will be support the accounting and reporting functions. This role will be integral to performing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards. This role has no direct reports and will report directly into the Finance Manager. They are looking for a candidate with a strong desire to grow within the company. This role has significant visibility and will allow for professional development, exposure to different aspects of the business, and a clear path for advancement.

Job Description

Accounting Supervisor Responsibilities:

Manage the company's financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis, and provide insights to management for decision-making purposes.Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.Support external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and implement process improvements as needed.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
