Duties
As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Your duties will include:
- Administering medications and injections as ordered by a physician- Conducting vital signs and monitoring patient conditions- Performing phlebotomy and blood draws as needed- Catheterizing patients as necessary- Providing wound care and assisting with dressing changes- Assisting with patient transfers and lifting- Participating in patient education and discharge planning- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
Skills
- Current LPN licensure in the state where the position is located- Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient care- Experience in a clinic or urgent care setting- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Cerner- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to lift and transfer patients as needed- Familiarity with sterile processing and aseptic techniques- Knowledge of ophthalmology and long-term care practices- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to patient-centered care
