Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: PreOp - Post Anesthesia Care Unit Job Duration: 12 weeks with potential for longer Shift: Rotating 10-hour shifts: 0600-1630, 0700-1730, 0730-1800, Monday-Friday, with some weekday and weekend call shifts included Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 1 year minimum experience required; PACU experience highly preferred License: Required valid state or compact license Certifications: ACLS and BLS Required; PALS Preferred Must-Have: EPIC experience Job Description: - Work rotating 10-hour shifts with included night and weekend call shifts.- Care for a diverse patient age group, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.- Handle 15 ambulatory surgery bays for pre-op patients and 10 PACU bays for post-op.- Manage patient diagnoses such as General, Orthopedic, Plastics, GYN, Bariatric, ENT, Podiatry, Urology.- Conduct special procedures including PICC lines, Blood patches, and Regional blocks with anesthesia.- Operate special equipment like portable Hoyer lift, Accuview vein finder, Hover Mat/Jack.- Maintain staffing ratios during the day ranging from 1:3-5.- Participate in an on-call schedule: 1 weeknight per week from 5:30 pm to 6:00 am and 6:00 am Saturday through 6:00 am Monday once every 4-6 weeks; 2-3 Sat-Mon combos in a 13-week contract.- Support every third weekend coverage and required holiday work.- Work within compliance guidelines for license and health requirements.- Utilize provided scrubs for shifts.- Complete orientation and necessary training modules prior to start.
