DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES Texas Parks and Wildlife Department requires the services of 1 QA Associate/Analyst 3, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of QA Associate/Analyst 3, Quality Assurance (QA) and Testing and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. ll work products resulting from the project shall be considered "works made for hire " and are the property of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and may include pre-selection requirements that potential Vendors (and their Candidates) submit to and satisfy criminal background checks as authorized by Texas law. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will pay no fees for interviews or discussions, which occur during the process of selecting a Candidate(s). This worker will perform manual and possibly automated testing of low to complex business applications. Works with team lead, other QA Analysts and project managers to analyze requirements and test new or existing procedures, information systems, or utility programs for efficiency, effectives and to verify they conform to the requirements. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Performing manual and automated testing of web or mobile applications 7 Required Developing test cases for testing mobile and web applications 7 Required Documenting testing results in a detailed manner 5 Required Version control such as Subversion, Gitlab 5 Required Working in a project team environment, Agile Methodology 5 Required Testing to ensure accessibility and other existing standards are met 5 Required Maintaining effective working relationships 5 Required Documenting testing results in Bugzilla, Jira or a similar tool 3 Required Skill writing SQL in industry standard relational databases 5 Preferred Managing multiple task and priorities 5 Preferred Communicating effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff 3 Preferred Writing automated test scripts 3 Preferred Leading QA team 2 Preferred Perform and document load testing III. TERMS OF SERVICEServices are expected to start 07/10/2024 and are expected to complete by 08/31/2025. Total estimated hours per Candidate shall not exceed 2240 hours. This service may be amended, renewed, and/or extended providing both parties agree to do so in writing. IV. WORK HOURS AND LOCATIONServices shall be provided during normal business hours unless otherwise coordinated through the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The primary work location(s) will be at Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin, TX, 78744. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework. Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts. The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. V. OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
