Welder - Fabrication Shop - 1st Shift

Job Summary:Industrial Welders in a fabrication shop are responsible for joining metal components together using various welding techniques. They play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, creating a wide range of metal products.Key Responsibilities:Uses various welding techniques to join metal components.Operates and maintains tools and equipment.Performs Housekeeping in the area as needed.Must wear safety glasses and hearing protection.Follow written and oral directionsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent.Welding certification preferred.Experience:Experience with GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW 3G VerticalCarbon and Stainless-Steel experience required.Knowledge Skills & Abilities:Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment.Ability to work accurately and with precision.Ability to follow safety procedures and regulations.Work Location and Travel:Lakeland, FLWork environment:The working environment is in an industrial shop; non-climate controlled and is often hot / humid. Frequent exposure to moving equipment, machines and shop tools, and other safety-sensitive hazards / risks. Require steady arm and hand control during stationary tasks. Need quick hand and arm movements for grasping, manipulating, and assembling objects.Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: People in this position frequently need to stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.See: Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Carry, weight, Lift: The person in this position occasionally be able to lift and carry up to 100lbs.Exposure to work: Considerable time will be spent in processing environments both in and outdoors.
