Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Must have license in hand Certifications: - *BLS required* - *ACLS and NIH preferred* Must-Have: MS Tele and Tele experience required Job Description: - 3x12s, Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend rotation, and holidays as needed.- Required to float between all associated health facilities.- Work assigned holidays, with flexibility per retention policy.- First-time travelers welcome.- Experience with acutely ill medical-surgical and orthopedic patients preferred.- Patient diagnoses include acute/chronic respiratory illness, post-op general surgery, post-op general GYN surgery, post-op total knee and hip replacements, orthopedics, acute and chronic pain, active GI bleeding, CHF/pulmonary edema, diabetes (hyper and hypoglycemic conditions), renal failure, drug overdose.- Care for patients with Clinical Institute Withdrawal Assessment (CIWA) score below 7, suicidal ideation, arrhythmias, undergoing radioactive therapy, uncontrolled or new seizures, and stable COVID patients.- Administer the following IV medication drips: Heparin, TNA.- Required COVID-19 and flu vaccinations, with medical or religious exemptions only.- EPIC experience preferred.- Completion of non-billable modules during orientation (average 2-4 hours).- Orientation: 16 non-billable hours.Note: This job description may require additional compliance requirements to be completed before the start date.
