TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Emergency Department (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Guaranteed Hours: Contracted hours (36/48/40) per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required; Level I Trauma preferred License: NM license can be pending at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH (can pend until compliance documentation due date), PALS, TNCC (must have before submission) Must-Have: No RTO (Request for Time Off) during Christmas, Christmas Eve, NYE (New Year's Eve), or NYD (New Year's Day). Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles (Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, NYE & NYD). COVID vaccination required; religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form. Job Description: - Approximately 60%-80% of the Emergency Department is admitted, and many of the ED rooms are designated "ED Holding". - Level 1 trauma experience is preferred. - Travel experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with 2 years of Level 1 Experience may be considered. - Candidates must have TNCC certification before submission. NIH certification can pend until compliance documentation due. - No locals within 75 miles are accepted. - Current increased number of admit holds. - Duties include medication administration, including IV medication via the seven medication rights; document and communicate clinical findings. - Emergency Department Ratios: 1:5 - First-time travelers are accepted. - Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed. Weekend days constitute Saturday and Sunday; weekend nights are considered Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. - Floating to Pediatric ED is optional; Floating to Adult PCUs is an expectation based on staffing needs, with potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma based on staffing needs. - Open to accommodating block schedules upon request. - Client prefers that travelers request only one holiday bundle if possible. - Personal transportation is required for travelers. - Candidates must be fully available and ready to work on compliance for the first 1-2 weeks after signing. - Modules completed during orientation and annually are billable up to 4 hours. Any additional time is non-billable.
