Job Details

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our manufacturing division. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and cost analysis, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.

Assist in the monthly close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, providing insights to improve efficiency and profitability.

Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by analyzing variances and trends.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and assist in financial analysis.

Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents as required.

Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors.

Participate in special projects and process improvements as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA or CMA certification (or working toward certification).

Experience with cost accounting and inventory management.

Familiarity with ERP systems.
