The SVP, Network Engineering & Delivery leader will work directly for the CTO and Head of Infrastructure and Operations. This role will also be a key contributor to driving the broader network architecture and strategy to support the Firm’s key initiatives such as Data Center Migration, Cloud adoption, and Cyber security.Responsibilities:Architectural Visionary:

Develop and lead a comprehensive roadmap for transforming LPL Financials’ Network infrastructure, with a focus on execution and engineering delivery excellence. Your vision will encompass enhancing our network architecture and design to enhance/build the network that excels in performance at high volume, security, and scalability, ensuring the resiliency and continuous availability of our services.Transformation Leader:

Spearheaded complex, enterprise-wide transformation projects with a strategic and results-oriented approach, ensuring our network architecture remains at the industry's cutting edge and can evolve with our business needs.Strategic Collaborator:

Work closely with the Head of Security Engineering, Head of Data Center Engineering, product, and business-aligned technology leaders to align our strategic vision with the architectural roadmap, translating advisor/client needs into groundbreaking technical solutions.Technical Mentor and Guide:

Serve as an industry expert for enterprise network design, technology, and standards while providing architectural and strategic consulting in the areas of external trends, best practices, and adherence to standards. Inspire and lead a team of talented network engineers and architects, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.Advisor & Investor Experience Champion:

Engage with financial advisors as needed to understand their challenges and connectivity needs, driving technological solutions that enhance their ability to serve clients effectively and efficiently.Technology Evaluation and Adoption:

Evaluate and select technologies and platforms that facilitate execution and engineering delivery excellence, while adopting industry best practices for Network architecture, leveraging practitioner-level experience with domain-driven design.Requirements:Minimum of 15+ years’ experience in increasing levels of responsibility designing and implementing large-scale enterprise network architecture including data centers, cloud environments, and global WANs. Preferably in the professional services and/or financial services industry providing high-performing, high-availability solutions in a global enterprise.Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent initiatives and drive projects to completion.Experience in vendor selection and contractor management.A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.Technology Competencies:Experience in newer networking technologies such as SDWAN, SDN, and NFV (Network function virtualization). Experience with Micro-segmentation and network security architecture.Proficiency in LAN/WAN technologies with expertise in routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, etc.Experience in Hybrid and multi-cloud network architectures, Knowledge of Public cloud providers particularly AWS and their networking features (e.g. AWS VPC).Experience in load-balancing solutions, application delivery controllers, and content delivery networks.Solid understanding of Quality of service to optimize network performance.Core Competencies:Demonstrated ability to build bench strength and delegate authority.Motivated by the long term. Results-driven, ensuring short-term goals are achieved that support long-term initiatives with an appropriate sense of urgency.Excellent communication skills, capable of working with leadership to demystify complex data concepts into tangible plans and strategies, underlining the importance of cloud adoption pathways and pinpointing initiatives that resonate with the intended architectural and business aims.A zealous and constant learner, keen to delve into the latest technological advancements, modern workplace practices, and the finer points of digital transformation.A pledge to promote a climate of innovation and excellence, advocating for perpetual improvement and the integration of data science to guide strategic choices.Experience within the financial sector, especially in wealth management, securities, and trading, is preferred.Pay Range:$168,800.00 - $281,300.00 Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
