Faculty members will champion the math/science program and teach in a manner that supports the university's mission to educate Christians who will make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary responsibility is teaching courses in the mathematics major and in the General Education program. These classes may include Contemporary Math, College Algebra, Statistics and Probability, Precalculus, Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Discrete Math, Combinatorics and Graph Theory, History of Mathematics, Complex Variables, and Number Theory. Course scheduling will be established with the Director of the Mathematics Program. The successful candidate will be able to champion the Math Major, support the General Education math requirements, and advise students. Other duties include academic advising, curriculum and program development, and university and departmental committee work. Corban University faculty are expected to be active scholars, excellent teachers, active in service to the university and the community, and able to model the integration of faith and learning.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Education:

Applicants must hold an M.A. or M.S. in a field of Mathematics taught at the university (Ph.D. preferred) and have a commitment to and a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching.Experience:

Applicants with at least two years' full-time collegiate teaching experience will be given preference. The candidate should have strong teaching and leadership skills and have a demonstrated record of active participation in professional organizations.Character:

The candidate must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence a mature Christian faith, be in agreement with the University’s Statement of Faith, be committed to the integration of biblical principles within the discipline and be willing to invest him/herself in the development of undergraduate students.
