A typical day for a Senior Linux Engineer with hands-on Packer experience involves designing and building Packer templates, managing Packer workflows, integrating Packer with CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting issues, collaborating with teams, and staying updated on Packer and Linux technologies.
Must haves: 7+ years in all skills**
Proficiency in Red Ht Linux: Deep understanding of RHEL (7, 8 & 9) administration, configuration, and troubleshooting.Strong scripting skills: Expertise in shell scripting (Bash, KornShell) and Python for automation.System administration: Experience in managing system processes, services, and users.Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and firewall configuration.Security: Knowledge of Linux security best practices and hardening techniques.Packer ExpertiseProficiency in Packer: Hands-on experience with creating and managing Packer templates and workflows.Integration with CI/CD pipelines: Ability to integrate Packer with CI/CD tools for automated image builds.Understanding of Packer best practices: Knowledge of best practices for using Packer to create efficient and secure images.Automation and ScriptingScripting languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl.Automation tools: Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of IaC principles and tools for automating infrastructure provisioning.Please reach out to me at 973-381-7135 or dimpy.sachdeva@collabera.com
