Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2025 Security Intern to support the Security & Emergency Services (SES) organization. This position will report to Sr. Manager of Facilities Protection and is intended for candidates working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree.

The candidate will perform tasks and assignments within the Security discipline such as: administrative, citations, and reports processing, government compliance, physical security, investigations, and emergency preparedness. This will include opportunities to develop skills to:* Develop, administer and audit security programs for compliance with Contracts, Standard Operating Procedures/Guidelines, and Special Security Instructions as they are written.* Develop and execute security programs associated with the protection of personnel, facilities, and assets vital to National Security in compliance with corporate policies.* Study and implement policies and procedures that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in published instructions, regulations, joint pubs, manuals, etc.* Prepare implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establish procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials.** Develop and conduct security education training.** Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventative action to be taken.** Process clearances and customer visits and provide support for classified meetings.Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred majors (Criminal Justice, Security Administration, Information Security)Experience working with Microsoft Office0-3 years of security-related experienceDesired Skills:Candidate must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently. The ability to articulate and present intelligent security-based recommendations is also essential. The candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as excellent organizational, oral, and written communications skills. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.Security Clearance Statement:

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
