Job Description As a GIS Specialist, this role will support environmental permitting and clearances for infrastructure projects, including mobile data collection, application creation using ArcGIS Online suite, resource impact analysis, CAD data interoperability and integration, and understanding and interpreting civil engineering design files and plans. Duties: Geospatial analysis, geoprocessing, cartographic design, and map preparation Geospatial dataset creation, editing, organization, and maintenance Ensuring geospatial data conforms to applicable standards Web map/app/dashboard development Mobile data collection administration using Field Maps and Field Maps Designer ArcGIS Enterprise implementation and administration Mobile data collection management and administration CAD, KMZ/KML, LiDAR, Building Information Modeling (BIM), augmented reality, and drone data interoperability and integration Creating scripts to streamline frequently performed tasks Creating 3D models and view simulations/renderings using SketchUp, Photoshop, or similar applications Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills): Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, or other relevant field with demonstrated GIS experience and skills Minimum of 3 years' GIS Experience and CAD experience in a civil engineering or related industry. GISP Certification a Plus Proficiency with Esri GIS software/applications, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, , Field Maps, Survey 123, Dashboards, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, ArcGIS Enterprise, , Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst, Data Interoperability, and Model Builder. Proficiency with GIS-related programming languages such as Python and SQL Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software Experience using GIS and geospatial analysis to support environmental permitting and clearances for infrastructure projects is a plus Proficiency with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD standard drafting techniques, terminology, and applications. Knowledge of US Environmental laws/regulations such as the National Environmental Policy Act, Endangered Species Act, and Clean Water Act is a plus Strong written and oral communication skills Must have solid skills in the following areas: planning and scheduling; organization; problem-solving; and decision Ability to work independently on one's own initiative as well as a member of a diverse team Ability to foster a positive work environment and organize and handle multiple assignments Ability to use a computer while sitting for extended periods on a daily basis Ability to travel with overnight stays Valid Driver's License, with the ability to maintain insurability under the company's insurance carrier Competencies (To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies): Communicative - interacts openly with others; can maintain relationships, works well independently or with a team.
