SWBC is seeking a talented individual to analyze updates by reviewing, researching, and verifying all flood insurance updates which may include payments on escrow flood loans. This role is responsible for interpreting, sorting, and verifying accuracy of pertinent insurance data and making necessary outbound calls and/or researching insurance carrier websites to verify and update insurance coverage. In addition, this role enters, edits, or modifies pertinent insurance information into AS400, LPS, Citrix, and FiServ database systems. Essential duties include the following: Enters, edits, or modifies pertinent insurance data into AS/400, MSP, FiServ, Citrix, or other client systems while comparing data entered with source documents and in a timely manner ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to department procedures. Reviews and researches insurance updates for determination of compliance guidelines or requirements pertaining to FEMA and NFIP for flood adequacy, timing notifications, private investors, or escrow payment disbursements. Makes necessary adjustments to flood insurance lines based on data found on reports, documents, or notes on AS400 history and may require updates to the FI system of record. Resolves escrow disbursement discrepancies by researching the loan and making outbound calls to the insurance agency/company to obtain required information in order to make timely and accurate updates and insurance payments to loan files. Examines and processes flood exception reports for illogical conditions that must be researched via internal/external systems to resolve and update the loan for the out-of-sync condition. Reviews full Private Insurance flood policy jackets to meet specific flood regulatory guidelines; and examines and processes client specific reports and exceptions that require manual review of flood coverage using approved calculators, appraisals, and requesting cost evaluations to determine flood adequacy; and properly save all documents to loan for audit purposes. Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalency. Minimum one to two (1-2) years insurance data processing and verification, mortgage banking loan servicing, or related experience. Intermediate understanding of mortgage escrow accounts or homeowners insurance. Intermediate computer and accurate keyboard skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word and Excel. Intermediate organizational skills to perform multiple work assignments. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong orientation to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in processing data and detecting discrepancies. Working knowledge of general office equipment such as phone system, copier, scanner, and the like. Able to work flexible hours which may include early mornings, late evenings, or weekends. Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities. Able to lift up to 20 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
