Job Title: Senior Salesforce Developer (10 years experience) Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid) Client: The Cigna Group Job Type: Contract Experience Level: 10 years Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer with 10 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development and architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality Salesforce solutions that meet business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and other developers, to deliver robust and scalable Salesforce solutions. Key Responsibilities: Design and Development : Lead the design, development, and customization of Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other tools. Integration : Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and custom integrations. Architecture & Best Practices : Define Salesforce architecture standards and best practices, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and secure implementations. Customization : Configure and customize Salesforce to align with business processes, including workflows, custom objects, triggers, and reports. Lead & Mentor : Lead a team of junior developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship. Review code to ensure high-quality standards. Deployment : Manage release cycles using CI/CD tools, ensuring smooth deployment of new features and bug fixes. Security : Ensure Salesforce security protocols are implemented, including user roles, profiles, permissions, and data security. Collaboration : Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and QA teams to gather requirements, provide technical solutions, and deliver high-quality products. Troubleshooting & Optimization : Analyze and resolve technical issues in the Salesforce platform and continuously optimize the system for performance improvements. Documentation : Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development work and ensure knowledge transfer across teams. Required Skills & Qualifications: 10 years of Salesforce development experience , including advanced proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components (LWC). Strong experience with Salesforce Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Experience Cloud. Expertise in building and consuming REST/SOAP APIs for Salesforce integrations. In-depth knowledge of Salesforce architecture and best practices for design and development. Proficient in using CI/CD tools such as Salesforce DX, Jenkins, or Copado. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Hands-on experience with Salesforce Data Loader , custom reports, dashboards, and analytics. Strong understanding of security protocols and data protection in Salesforce. Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I & II, Architect, or App Builder are preferred. Ability to troubleshoot, resolve complex technical issues, and optimize Salesforce performance. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with business and technical teams. Proven ability to lead a team of developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of CPQ , Marketing Cloud , or Einstein Analytics . Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies . Experience with Salesforce AppExchange products . Familiarity with Heroku , MuleSoft , or other middleware platforms.
