Location: Lansing, MI Type: Contract Job 11614 Salary: $64.00 - $77.00 Per Hour Apply Now Are you a seasoned Infrastructure Solutions Architect seeking a new challenge? We invite you to join our team at the State of Michigan Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) CTO Network Services and Design Services Division. We are looking for a highly consultative and experienced professional to support and upgrade our Enterprise network environment. Project Objective: The aim is to secure a resource with the necessary experience and skills to provide advanced support for our upgraded Enterprise network infrastructure. This project engagement will last for a one-year period, with the potential for extension. Scope of Work: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Supporting the upgrade, optimization, and quality assurance of our Enterprise network. Providing mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior staff members. Assisting with daily support, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Facilitating and validating the rollout of new technologies for the enterprise network. Collaborating and consulting with fellow administrators and architects within the Enterprise Architecture, Michigan Cyber Security, and other teams. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have: Five or more years of experience with Cisco Nexus & Catalyst, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Catalyst Center/ DNA Center. Certified Cisco Network Professional (CCNP) certification. Experience in Enterprise Network Automation, DNA Center/ Catalyst Center, and Cisco ISE. Skills in remediation of security issues identified by vulnerability assessments or penetration tests. Experience in mentoring junior engineers. Good communication skills and a degree of creativity and latitude. Tasks/Duties: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Developing solutions to technical problems. Installing, upgrading, and maintaining DNA Center/Catalyst Center. Assisting in supporting infrastructure solutions for technical needs or problems. Implementing and supporting data center network solutions. Monitoring, upgrading, troubleshooting, and maintaining the network infrastructure. Identifying and prioritizing critical business functions in collaboration with organizational stakeholders. Communicating complex technical concepts to individuals of various technical abilities. Providing support with performance analysis & troubleshooting. Deliverables: Deliverables are outlined in the Scope of Work and will be considered complete upon formal acceptance by the Agency Project Manager. Project Control and Reports: A weekly progress report must be submitted to the Agency Project Manager throughout the project duration. This report should include hours worked, accomplishments, and funds expended. Roles and Responsibilities: The Contractor will provide sufficient qualified staffing to satisfy the deliverables of this Statement of Work. Expected Work Hours and Conditions: Work hours will not exceed eight (8) hours a day, forty (40) hours a week. Normal working hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm are to be observed unless otherwise agreed to in writing. The Contractor will observe the same standard holidays as State employees.
