The Position Job TitleMortgage Quality Assurance Analyst Job Description SUMMARY Responsible for performing 2nd look quality control audits monthly on QC team for any serving or default related processes. Ensure that loans are managed and in accordance with investor, insurer, company policies and procedures and guidelines. Ensures Quality Controls are completed accurately and timely. QC review is performed to make sure that all the requirements are met prior to finalizing the process QC reviews are done to verify any errors made during the process to remediate and be able to improve going forward MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) Performance of quality assurance and control audits, both in-line and post process completion on default related processes. Perform audits consisting of review, analysis, risk assessment, and testing of sample populations. Perform audits on selected samples including but not limited to call recordings, data, documentation, or other sample types. Perform audits to determine accuracy, consistency, error detection, omission of data/information, process and/or system gaps, etc. Ensure processes and samples reviewed are managed in adherence to internal policies and procedures, investor/insurer guidelines, and federal regulations. Ensure audits include required level of detail and are performed in a timely manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Create and maintain documents necessary to perform quality assurance and control audit process including, itemized checklists, reports, scorecards, trackers, etc. Actively participate in meetings with team and supported lines of business to review findings and remediation related to audits performed. Identify areas of opportunity for application of quality assurance and control audit process, both in-line and postmortem. Gather and review further information, conduct additional analysis, research and testing as needed, including targeted reviews. Assist Supervisor/Manager in developing department job aids. Willingness to accept additional responsibilities Dependable and adheres to timelines and schedules. Takes initiative in development and completion of projects. Physical Working Conditions This is somewhat sedentary work that requires the following physical activities: Sitting or standing for long periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking hearing, and visual acuity including close vision. Occasional lifting (up to 10 pounds of computer equipment or paper). May be required occasionally to stoop or kneel.
