19.40/HR

SHIFT:

6:45am - 3:15pm Monday to Friday

Essential Functions

  • Prepare press
  • Set die in press
  • Set coil and feed length
  • Run parts for inspection approval
  • Monitor press
  • Document statistical process control

Prepare Press

  • Unbolt/ unclamp die
  • Remove scrap and lubricant from press
  • Empty and clean buckets and barrels
  • Clean bolster
  • Repeat with each run
  • Adjust arm jerkers
Set Die in Press
  • Push die on to the bolster
  • Adjust die to the center
  • Push button to position ram
  • Bolt/ clamp upper half of die to ram (use socket wrench)
  • Check die alignment
  • Bolt/ clamp lower half of die to the bolster
Set Coil and Feed Length
  • Load coil (hoist or chain fall) on to reel or in cradle
  • Remove the banding on the coil by cutting with metal cutters
  • Feed strip into the press feed
  • Activate switch, advance coil through the die
  • Install lube line, air blow offs, and chutes
Run Parts of Inspection Approval
  • Run press
  • Check parts of gauging/ measuring
  • Obtain inspection approval
Monitor Press
  • Check for proper feed
  • Lubricate as necessary
  • Check chutes, bolts, and parts being blown out
Document Statistical Process Control
  • Pick up part
  • Measure part
  • Return part to bin
  • Record measurements
