Role - Sr. SAP Business Analyst Locaion - Southfield, MI Contract - 12-month Interview process: 2 rounds of video Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs. Provides a thorough analysis of business problems and customer needs to define functional and non-functional requirements for technology solutions; manages requirements, assists in translating them into solution specifications and verifies the fulfillment of all requirements. Strong partnership with business and technical teams to deliver solutions with respect to value, quality, and end-user experience. Acts as a conduit between IT and customers. Possesses expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as, an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities Responsibilities: Works directly with appropriate staff in IT and business areas to clarify and document the business case, problem and scope. Compares the present state of the business with a conceptual and desired future state and provides gap analysis; recommends process improvements. Elicits and manages business and technical requirements, interviews stakeholders, and conducts effective facilitation sessions with multiple stakeholders. Work closely with the Business Units and IT teams to create, identify, and evaluate deliverables such as user stories, and business process models Reconciles information received from multiple sources, articulates and isolates in-scope and out of scope elements. Works with the Solutions Architects, Tech Leads and other IT teams to identify possible solution(s) and all downstream impacts, both system and non-system. Work with Project Managers and the Procurement Manager the procurement process; from Requests for Proposals (RFP) to assessment of submitted proposals and selection of the product. Works with customer and Testing team to validate testing plans based on the use-cases, functional and non-functional requirements. Coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts Minimum Requirements: 5 years experience in evaluating and translating customer needs into technical solutions. 5 years' experience as a Business Analyst 5 years' experience in documenting requirements throughout development lifecycle (New and Regression). Possess at a minimum a Bachelor's degree Possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral). Be proficient with MS Office products (including Excel, Access, Word and Power Point). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred) Experience with both Agile and Waterfall project methodologies Experience with Atlassian products like Confluence and Jira
