Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Epic Application Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on implementing, optimizing, maintaining and troubleshooting solutions that support Population Health Services Organization with a focus on Epic Healthy Planet and Roster Management Engine. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst is responsible for advancing the functionality and operational efficiency of assigned information systems and solutions. This entails analysis, design and development of new software modules; advising, assisting, and training customers in the operation and administration of their systems; and collaborating with customers to enhance their work methodologies and tools. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst is charged with ensuring the services that he/she provides contribute to the successful accomplishment of the primary mission of the department. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst possesses sufficient technical expertise to support an assigned application, but may be called upon to assist with multiple applications. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst supports the Project Management activities required to deliver valuable relevant solutions and assists in the development of project schedules, plans and timelines.The Sr. Epic Application Analyst reports directly to the Manager, while receiving leadership from Lead Epic Application Analysts.

The Sr. Epic Application Analyst applies skills, in line with MH's values and goals, to assure the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality services. The Sr. Epic Application Analyst is responsible for demonstrating a commitment to the values of the corporation through active participation in the Partners In Caring, Customer Service and Continuous Quality Improvement programs.

The Sr. Epic Application Analyst will be responsible for designing, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining solutions that support the Population Health Service Organization. EMR and/or HealtheIntent (Enterprise Data Warehouse) experience is preferred.

Preferred skills:

Reduce cost by automating and reduce manual human intervention.

Developing custom User interfaces to ease repetitive tasks.

Assisting other application teams in extracting out data from theirsystems to load for Analytics.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Associates degree, preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

Epic Certification required

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in a large, corporate systems development and implementation activities in a wide variety of Healthcare Information Systems (MIS) or similar experience in system analysis, design, building, testing and implementation or a combination of MIS and working knowledge of hospital operations requiredIndustry training and increasingly responsible experience with knowledge and skills in a large, complex corporate Information SystemPrevious Epic or other Health Information Systems experience requiredExperience in supporting complex problemsExperience in assisting other AnalystsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Epic application support, development tools and methodologiesGood analytical skills and technical aptitudeGood planning and organizational skillsGood communication, collaboration and customer service skillsDemonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead othersPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Systems Development

Translates user and department Epic system needs into technical solutions.Performs project reviews and process walk through incorporating technical, clinical and business solutions that will enhance user productivity and department service levels.Technical Administration

Responsible for providing technical knowledge in the support of Epic as well as other software applications and operating systems.Performs intermediate to advanced analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation of Epic and other computer programs and systems.Demonstrates and applies information systems theory, processes and methodologies.Technical Standards

Acts as an advocate for setting and enforcing technical development, application support and information management standards within and outside of the Information Systems Department.Application Support

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting development projects and complex problem solving efforts involving Epic and other applications.Participates in after-hours technical support by rotating call schedule on a regular basis.Provides ongoing Epic support to users.Planning & Coordinating
