Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Hackensack, NJ

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Every other weekend and holidays required Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery; 6 months of L&D travel nurse experience required, 1 year preferred License: NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license Certifications: - Required: BLS-AHA - Preferred: ACLS, Advanced AWOHNN or EFM Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery - EPIC experience preferred - Either AWOHNN (intermediate or advanced) or NCC in electronic fetal monitoring preferred - Candidate acceptance is contingent upon passing a basic fetal monitoring test during onboarding Job Description: - Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care - Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs - Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients through initial and ongoing assessments - Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, medical diagnosis, and functional health framework - Perform therapeutic nursing interventions - Manage care of patients - Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities - Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery - Provide patient-centric care in alignment with the professional nursing practice model - Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned
