This position will be located at our customers site in Kettering, OH. KOS is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to assist with the development and sustainment of systems for the AFLCMC/GB4 program. The selected candidate will participate in software development activities in an Agile environment to develop, maintain, and secure applications operating in the cloud environment. Candidate must have a positive attitude and the flexibility to adjust to US Air Force and DoD IT mandates pertaining to the development and security safeguards of application systems. Responsibilities: Analyzes business processes, functions, and procedures to determine the most effective missions systems software to meet the needs of the organization. Establishes systems specifications and objectives, based on business requirements and cost effectiveness, and provides recommendations to management personnel. Collaborates with others in systems development and design, including software programming and table, report, and panel design. Develops test plans and coordinates and performs software testing. Coordinates implementation of the system software. Provides general support to IT systems. Provides status reports and feedback to customers and/or senior management, such as detailed reporting on current applications and patch deployments. Required Skills/Experience: Must be a U.S. Citizen Holds a successfully completed in-scope NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation or is eligible for an interim public trust while undergoing a new NACI, NACLC, T1, or higher background investigation. Three (3) years of functional experience Three (3) years of technical experience Preferred Skills/Experience: Working knowledge of AF logistics systems and AF cataloging systems Agile trained and/or certifications Working knowledge of software life cycle management Experience supporting Air Force or other similar federal agencies. Physical and/or Mental Qualifications, if applicable: Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and technical specialists Working Environment & Conditions This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
