[SC00] The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time. Our projects benefit the community by aiding in providing safe, reliable electricity to everyone: Customer: create analytics to improve customer satisfaction along the customer journey for a lifetime as they move-in to a residence, pay their bill and track outage repairs. Transmission & Distribution: develop algorithms to detect asset failures, reduce outages and provide reliable electricity to customers. Corporate: automate business processes to enable employees to complete higher-value and more rewarding work. As a Scrum Master at FirstEnergy you will lead the Agile scrum process for squads developing digital products. You will work on digital scrum squads with a Product Owner to deliver incremental value each sprint for the products and coach others on Agile methodologies. Your primary responsibility is to help the self-organizing, self-managing squad achieve its goals. You will remove impediments and act as a shield from external distractions, create a safe working environment and you are an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Build and coach high performing squads developing analytical, journey, or automation products. Identify ways to strengthen digital squads, IT teams and Business teams understanding of Agile / Scrum concepts and principles. Ensure squad actions are aligned with the vision of working on the digital teams. Ensure Scrum practices are used and improved within and across squads. Bring transparency to the Business and IT organization about development and grow trust between Business, IT and the Digital Squads. Identify trade-offs between the short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the squad and product owner. Foster a continuous learning environment helping squads to inspect & adapt. Qualifications Include: A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science or another related field along with 5 years of related experience.
