Job description

Infosys is seeking to hire a

Linux Administrator.

you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options and makes recommendations. You will create detailed design, architecture and process artifacts and implement the deployment plan. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications:Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Omaha, NE or be willing to relocate to the area.Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.At least 4 years of Information Technology experienceAt least 2 years of experience in

Linux administration.At least 2 years of knowledge on SLES/RHELIn-depth troubleshooting skill about LinuxWorking knowledge of upgrading from SLSE 12.1 to 12.5 to SLES 15Working knowledge of Patching SUSE server using Suse ManagerKnowledge of shell /python scripting to carry out day to day task automationUnderstanding about LVM (Logical volume) /NFSUnderstanding of Linux resources (CPU/Memory) monitoringPreferred Skills:

Knowledge about VMware - Building VMs, VMotions , Snapshot, affinity rules etc.Knowledge of Apache/Tomcat will be add-onKnowledge of Ansible will be add-onShould be able to talk to remote team and help them coordinate with customer.Excellent communication skill and Customer management skill. He/ She should be able to coordinate with highly technical customers.The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
