Database Administrator Sr - BI focus

Role: Database Administrator Sr - BI focus Location: Portland, OR - 100% remote from anywhere Contract: 12 months contract This Sr.BI DBA will be assigned production support and new projects. Responsibilities: The Development, Data and Analytics Team provides the development platforms and the enterprise data in our Data Warehouses. Focused on the successful adoption of Business Intelligence tools throughout the county. The officially supported BI tools are: SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Tableau, and Power BI. We have On-Prem servers as well as databases in the Azure Cloud and in Snowflake. Experience with Tableau Server Administration, troubleshooting, and end user support. Experience in a major Tableau Server or Power BI Report Server upgrade in your role as a DBA. Required Skills: Seven (7) years of IT DBA experience. This position must pass a criminal history records check. Azure Cloud experience (Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, Azure Boards, Azure Blob Storage, etc) Snowflake on Azure Commercial experience preferred The skills: Advanced experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Server Advanced experience doing DBA work both On-Prem and Azure Cloud Advanced experience in data warehousing design, BI concepts and best practices Advanced experience working with developers to build ETLs for loading data for reporting Advanced experience in Tableau server administration, upgrades, and support Advanced experience in PBIRS server administration, upgrades, and support Experience that provides a plus: Snowflake experience Power BI experience A background criminal records check is required for all candidates.
