Data Engineer

Lake Trust Credit Union has an opening for a Data Engineer at 4605 South Old Highway 23, Brighton, MI 48114. 40 hrs/wk; 9am - 5pm; M-F. Responsibilities: As a member of the Business Intelligence & Analytics team, responsible forcreating data pipelines, delivering business intelligence solutions, and analysis of complex data sets; analyzing and profiling data to measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness; designing efficient and robust ETL workflows; identifying various data sources and define data dictionaries, designing and developing data models (physical/logical data models) based on the given specifications and requirements; creating client reports and custom reports: On demand, Ad-hoc Reports, Frequency reports, Summary Reports, Sub Reports, Drill-down, dynamic grouping, Crosstab, Graphical; inserting gauges in reports using SQL Server Reporting Services or Power BI; utilizing tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Alteryx, R, Microsoft Power BI and Python; and objectoriented analysis, design, and programming. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering, or Data Analytics, or Statistics, Mathematics, or foreign equivalent education, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience as a Data Engineer and/or Software Developer, and/or Data Programmer Analyst. Experience must include: creating highly flexible Database Architecture, Modeling, Data Warehousing, Design, Development and Technical Management; utilizing databases including MS SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata; ETL tools, including Alteryx, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar tools; object-Oriented Analysis, Design, and programming; Microsoft Power BI, Python and R; SQL Programming, Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, and Client/Server Connectivity; and data warehousing methodologies and concepts, including star schemas, snowflakes, dimensional modelling, and reporting tools.
